Yes, Witches! 'Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina' Season 2 Trailer Depicts A Darker Path For The Common Good

Well, that was quick! Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is back for Season 2, which is being branded as Part 2.

This news may seem like a quick turnaround with the second season of a series premiering less than a year after the first, but when the show, initially developed for The CW as a Riverdale spinoff, moved to Netflix, it received a straight-to-series, 20-episode, two-season order. Because of this, the two ordered seasons have been filmed back-to-back in its Vancouver shooting location. Parts 3 and 4 will begin shooting later this year.

There will be nine episodes in the second season (not counting the standalone Christmas special that premiered on December 14).

The official description: It's a wicked world out there, and Sabrina is brewing up trouble. After signing her name in the Book of the Beast, Sabrina struggles to find the balance between her place in the mortal world and her new darker side. New challenges await Sabrina in Part 2, including having to choose between the familiar mortal Harvey Kinkle, and the sexy warlock Nicholas Scratch. She may have signed her name to the Dark Lord, but that doesn't mean she isn't willing to raise a little hell.

A horror take on the classic Archie comic, the series imagines "the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit."

Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Bronson Pinchot and Gavin Leatherwood star in the series.
