Shadow and Act has an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of YO! MTV Raps on Paramount+.
The episode will feature rapper IDK. In the clip, IDK discusses being compared to Kanye West and some of his other musical influences growing up with hosts Conceited and DJ Diamond Kuts.
While speaking with Shadow and Act in May, Conceited shared that he was a big advocate for YO! MTV Raps getting a reboot.
Seeing as the show became a dominant force in music and featured some of the most iconic legends, the rapper felt the show needed to be brought back to showcase today’s talent.
“I wanted the show back because I was dying to be the host of a rap show. I was also a fan of the show from its heyday,” he said. “And I felt like there were so many reboots of iconic shows that why couldn’t the same be for YO! MTV Raps, especially when there aren’t any shows with hip hop at the center.”
