Zazie Beetz is quietly becoming one of the hardest-working and highly-sought after  women in the business.

If you haven’t noticed it now, you will soon.

The Atlanta star is in talks to join two upcoming films, aside from the two that are in post-production and in development, respectively.

She’s set to complete a love triangle for the film Pale Blue Dot for Fox Searchlight, alongside Natalie Portman and Jon Hamm. The description per THR, “Pale Blue Dot centers on a married astronaut (Portman) who returns to Earth after a mission and begins an affair with a fellow astronaut (Hamm). She heads into a downward spiral as she loses her connection to her family — a condition that can afflict those who spend a long time in space — and when her lover begins another affair with an astronaut trainee, the bottom drops out.” Reese Witherspoon, who was originally set to play Portman’s role, is a producer.

The second film she’s in talks to join is the biopic on Jean Seberg, Against All Enemies, which is toplined by Kristen Stewart, and also stars Anthony Mackie, Jack O’Connell, Margaret Qualley, and Colm Meaney. It is unknown what her role would be. Variety says of the film: “The story centers on attempts by the FBI to discredit Seberg through its Cointelpro program in retaliation for her support of the Black Panther Party. Those efforts included creating a false story in 1970 that the child Seberg was carrying was not fathered by her husband, but by a member of the Black Panther Party.”

Beetz, who will star in Deadpool as a part of a 3-film deal with Fox’s X-Men franchise, also just wrapped Steven Soderbergh’s High Flying Bird alongside Andre Holland (scripted by Moonlight’s Tarell Alvin McCraney) and just was tapped for a key supporting role with Armie Hammer in an untitled Annapurna thriller.
