Showtime has announced the premiere date for, Ziwe, the new self-titled variety series starring and executive produced by the writer, comedian and performer
It will premiere Sunday, May 9 at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
Ziwe’s six-episode season will ‘feature interviews, musical numbers, guest stars, sketches and more – including unscripted and unpredictable interactions with everyday people.” Ziwe also serves as showrunner.  A24 will also produce.

This series extends Ziwe’s relationship at Showtime, where she writes for Desus & Mero and Our Cartoon President. She is also a writer on Apple TV+’s Dickinson.

She went viral last year for her online show that has catapulted her fame. On the show, she invites “friends and celebrities alike as guests and, armed with a smiling and biting wit, overtly baits them into comically uncomfortable conversations about race.”
