Many fans of the Hulu series High Fidelity were miffed when it was announced the show would be canceled. Chief among them were Hulu Fidelity‘s own star, actress Zoë Kravitz.

In a new interview with Elle, Kravitz doubled down on her criticisms of Hulu over the cancellation of the comedy series.

“They didn’t realize what that show was and what it could do,” Kravitz told the publication. “The amount of letters, DMs, people on the street and women that look like us — like, that love for the show, it meant something to people. It was a big mistake.”

Kravitz starred on High Fidelity as Robyn “Rob” Brooks, a record store owner with her own bad track record of failed romantic relationships. Not only did Kravitz star in the show, but also served as an executive producer of the series  and a co-writer in the episode “Uptown.”The Hulu series was based on Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel and the 2000 Stephen Frears-directed film of the same name , which starred John Cusack.

This is not the first time Zoe Kravitz has sounded off on Hulu’s decision to axe High Fidelity.

In 2020, after giving a heartfelt shout out to her High Fidelity cast, crew and fans on her Instagram, Tessa Thompson wrote in a comment, “I will miss you alllllllllllll so much.” To which Kravitz replied, “It’s cool. At least Hulu has a ton of other shows starring women of color we can watch. Oh wait.”

Next up, Kravitz could be seen in Matt Reeves upcoming film The Batman, which he co-wrote with Peter Craig. The film will see Kravitz taking on the mantle of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, which was previously played by the likes of Eartha Kitt, Halle Berry, Michelle Pfieffer and Anne Hathaway.
