Zonnique Pullins’ FOX SOUL talk show, The Mix, is back. Produced by her mother, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and co-hosted by Romeo Miller, Anton Peeples, Jamie DuBose, and Jazz Anderson, the nighttime show is leading the conversation for Black Black Gen-Z and millennial men and women.
There’s no topic off-limits for the hosts of The Mix. The subjects range from Black Lives Matter, current affairs, dating apps, viral trends, breaking news and of course, pop culture. Additionally, other celebrity guests are featured and interviewed to share their take on what’s going on in the world.

Pullins says The Mix is the first step in her creating her own identity and brand outside of her empire with her family. Fans are used to seeing the 24-year-old as a music artist and reality star on her family’s VH1 reality series. But, she says there’s much more to her than what fans are used to.
“Being on reality TV for so long, I was definitely interested in doing something different and something that wasn’t on my parents’ platform,” she says. “Even though my mom put it together and she’s the executive producer, you’re not going to see me with Tiny. It gives me a voice and a platform to speak about important topics.”
Her platform on The Mix gives her an individualized voice, which she’s happy about. Still, she admits she was initially intimidated by the opportunity when her mother first presented it to her.
“Usually, I’m a quiet person, a private person and I don’t speak out too much on things,” she says. “I was kind of surprised when my mom asked me out of all of her kids to be apart of it but I really wanted to do this. I auditioned with everyone else and went through that whole bit with the goal of being on a different platform.”
As for what she brings to the show that sets her apart from, and makes her more relatable than her co-hosts, Pullins says her current relationship status allows viewers to register with her. She’s also getting ready for a major transition in her life: motherhood.
An admitted “go with the flow” type of personality, Pullins anticipates that motherhood will reshape her worldview for the better and give her the motivation to care about more important issues, such as the upcoming election.
“I’m a Pisces and as Pisces, we live for day-to-day and I can be honest and say that like many in my generation, we don’t really pay attention to politics as much as we should, even though we are the most important voter group,” she says. “I’m looking forward to motherhood because having a baby will force me to grow in those areas as life is bigger than me now. I want to contribute my voice to those topics on the show moving forward.”
Aside from motherhood and The Mix, Pullins is looking forward to continuing to expand her own personal brand. She’s excited to own her own businesses and is considering starting a mommy and me clothing line once her daughter arrives. She’s also continuing to release new music and will be debuting a new music video for her single “FTCU.” Pullins is proving that having a good hustle runs in the family.
