Get to know the house members of the season 2-winning New York branch of the iconic house and their fashionable inspirations below.

While most houses are named after one designer, this house is named after two iconic designers, Issey Miyake and Thierry Mugler. Miyake is a Japanese fashion designer who founded the Miyake Design Studio in 1970. At the studio, he and his team produced cutting-edge women’s fashion. Mugler is a French designer who also started staking his claim in fashion in the 70s, with his first collection coming out in 1973.

Father Arturo Miyake-Mugler

Father Arturo Miyake-Mugler is the New York Father of Miyake-Mugler and holds the ballroom title of Icon. He is a DJ and choreographer as well as the person behind the Vogue 4 Your Life Vogue Showcase. He is also the owner of Icons Chicken in Brooklyn.

Diego Miyake-Mugler

Born Shawn Woolfolk, Diego Miyake-Mugler has the ballroom title of Legendary and has made his living as a dancer. With Simone Tisci and Honey Balenciaga, he is one of the most popular personalities of the season. Though he is a Miyake-Mugler, his ballroom mother is Shannon Balenciaga.

Malik Miyake-Mugler

Born Malik Brehon, Malik Miyake-Mugler has the title of Up and Coming Legend and, in the kiki (i.e. the world of smaller, more intimate ballroom functions) scene, he is Legendary. Malik is also part of the House of Juicy Couture.

Prince Miyake-Mugler

Prince Miyake-Mugler, born as Jor-el Rios, is originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico and lives in Manhattan, New York. He is Legendary in the ballroom scene.

Tati Miyake-Mugler

Tati Miyake-Mugler was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and has several aliases, including the Princess of Vogue and The People’s Princess. She also has the title of Overall Mother of the House of Juicy Couture and is Legendary in the kiki scene. Tati also appeared on Vice’s My House and was a principal dancer on season 2 of Pose.
