Update: According to THR, NBC said that Jones’ videos were blocked due to “a third-party error” and not the network.
“We have resolved the situation. She is free to do her social media posts as she has done in the past,” spokesman Greg Hughes said. “She is a super fan of the Olympics and we are super fans of her.”

Leslie Jones, who has been live-tweeting and recapping the summer and winter Olympic Games, is rethinking her relationship with the competition.
Jones tweeted early Monday morning that the current Winter Olympics might be the last one she tweets. Shhe loves the Olympics and the athletes involved, which is why she has made an effort to have fun with recapping and narrating the games, but she obviously feels that her efforts have been stifled and ignored.
She posted a message on Instagram
Jones wrote, “I’m tired of fighting the folks who don’t want me to do it. They block my videos and they get folks who think they can do it like me. And I’m tired of fighting them.”
She did not refer to anyone or name names, but she insinuates that there have been individuals who have tried to stop her from tweeting about the games. Jones went on to say in the same post:
“I love the athletes and they love me doing it. And I know ya’ll love it. But now it’s gotten too hard. And no one is fighting for or with me. Soooo I guess I’ll leave it to the professionals. But thank you for all the love. #uptoyallnow.”
Jones has a large following on Tiktok, where she has commented on pretty much every event in the 2022 Winter Olympics, from figure skating to skiing.
Before her post, Jones was watching and reacting to the team figure skating event taking place early this morning.
She explained why what she does is important to her and why she does it saying in another post, “I do this because I really enjoy watching the Olympics…I really love you guys’ reactions … this is like everybody coming together, no matter what’s going on. … When I’m doing this, my spirit is totally in it. … I do this with real passion.”
NBC is the network showing the winter Olympics and you would think since Jones has a relationship with them from being on Saturday Night Live there would be some obvious synergy. Hopefully, Jones continues to do her thing despite the pushback shes been receiving.
