Wendy Williams’ brother Tommy Williams is telling the world not to count his talk show host sister out. The media maven hasn’t been hosting her show at all this season. Show executives, as well as Williams, have cited ongoing health issues for Williams’ medical leave. Williams has spoken openly about her battle with graves disease and lymphodema. But there are rumors surrounding that her spot in the purple chair is in jeopardy amid speculation of drug and alcohol addiction. Tommy however is denying such and recently shot down claims that her illness is more serious than we know.

Tommy Williams isn’t a fan of the show’s guest hosts

In Williams’ absence, the show has had several guest hosts. Popular faces who’ve hosted this season thus far include Remy Ma and Fat Joe, Leah Remini, Michael Rappaport, and Sherri Shepherd. Shepherd, who previously co-hosted The View and has a hosting gig on Dish Nation, has been a fan favorite. The ratings have been high for Shepherd and it’s rumored that she’s in the running to replace Williams. But Tommy says his sister isn’t going anywhere.

She’s not finished and I know that you’re weighing in on the hosts that are on right now,” he told The Jasmine Brand in a recent interview. “I’m on the outside looking in just like you all. She’s not gone folks, she is just recalibration go. If Wendy weren’t doing well, I wouldn’t be sitting here smiling.”

He also gave the guest hosts a thumbs down when asked his opinion on them and said he misses Wendy on TV. It’s not expected for Williams to make a return until at least February 2022.

He’s also spoken out about rumors of Wendy Williams having dementia

Recently, Tommy, exclusively told The Sun that Williams has not been “displaying that type of behavior to the family” after rumors that his sister was displaying early signs of dementia. “We haven’t had any alerts like that and I haven’t seen anything like that or have had conversations with her that would lead me to believe that. We routinely go up and check on Wendy even though we’re all down here in Florida. I try to make it up there and my dad speaks with Wendy frequently. So no, we don’t have any concerns concerning her mental state. It’s all physical.”

Williams has been spotted by paparazzi on a few occasions on her hiatus. She was seen leaving her NYC apartment building in a wheelchair and also spotted in Miami being escorted on foot by someone into a car. When asked by paps how she was feeling, she said “fabulous.”
